Honda gears up to electrify winter with hybrid snowblower
Filed under: Etc., Hybrid, Honda With cars like the Insight, CR-Z and Civic Hybrid, Honda is certainly no stranger to hybrids. But their latest isn't a hatchback. It's not a sedan. It's not even an SUV. In fact it's not a car at all. It's a snowblower. The Japanese industrial giant, as you may well be aware, makes a lot of things besides cars....

T-Mobile Galaxy S II screen issues have some seeing (poorly rendered) red
The T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S II is certainly a fine piece of hardware and we didn't have any complaints about the Super AMOLED Plus display in our review, but others have come across some perplexing problems with the screen. There's a thread going over at the XDA forums that takes pretty in-depth look at the panels on both the Sprint and T-Mo variants of the GSII and turns up...

Apple reaches settlement in MagSafe class action suit, dodges fireball
Apple's MagSafe has been veritable boon to the clumsy, saving MacBooks from accidental drops since 2006. The magnetic solution, however, hasn't been exactly great when keeping those same notebooks spark free. Those who weren't able to convince a Genius to part ways with a replacement gratis should know that Cupertino has just settled a class-action relating to the original's propensity to fray....

PayPal direct NFC payments to Android app, lets you P2P your lunch money
It's another nail in the coffin of expensive, dirty, smelly physical cash and coins. PayPal has released the 3.0 version of its Android app and, through that, users can directly exchange money from one NFC-equipped phone to another. Just add the Request Money widget to your (probably already rather cluttered) desktop, type in an amount, then pick up your Nexus S and do a little fist bump with your best bro's...

Filed under: Diesel, Jaguar, USA The first diesel Jaguar XF has arrived in the United States. But it's not destined for a showroom, and it's not headed to a waiting customer. No, Jaguar has slightly more ambitious plans for this particular oil-burning sedan. The 2.2-liter diesel four will propel this XF on a cross-country journey that will take it from New York to Los Angeles - a trip across eleven states and 2,800...

Eric Schmidt is continuing his Asian tour, speaking today in South Korea. Two sensitive topics came up: first, the question of whether Motorola Mobility would be getting special treatment if and when the deal closes. His response, as reported by Reuters: "we will run it sufficiently and independently, that it will not violate the openness of Android…we're not going to change in any material way the way we operate." I believe him....
