Internet Explorer does less than 50 percent of world's web surfing, Chrome on the come-up
It's been a long and winding road for Internet Explorer, Microsoft's venerable web browser, and for over a decade it's been the browser of choice for most netizens. According to Net Marketshare's latest numbers, however, IE now enables just under half of the world's total -- meaning mobile and desktop combined -- web traffic after owning 95 percent of the browsing market seven years ago....

HTC showing off its 'latest innovation' tomorrow -- get your liveblog right here
Another day, another HTC event. The Taiwanese company sent out invites last week for tomorrow's product launch, promising an opportunity to check out its "latest innovation." So, what can we expect? A peak at the Rezound seems like a pretty safe bet -- thanks in part to the presence of a Beats logo on the invites, not to mention a few recent leaks....

The carrier has released several handsets today, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, HTC Radar 4G, myTouch and myTouchQ (online only until November 9th), LG DoublePlay, and the Samsung Exhibit II 4G. Siri, Why Are You So Underwhelming?
When Apple first unveiled the iPhone 4S, there was one feature that left every jaw in the room on the floor. Her name is Siri. Scott Forstall demoed the personal assistant at Apple's media event, and the entire presentation went off without a hitch. Then, as expected, Apple released their commercials, which were equally impressive....

Libratone Live and Lounge AirPlay speakers now available in the US
Libratone managed to pique our interest with its brightly-colored, cashmere-ensconced Live and Lounge AirPlay speakers this summer, and it's now finally announced that they're both available in the US. They come in at an expectedly hefty $699 for the smaller Live model and $1,299 for the larger Lounge soundbar (add an extra $100 to each for that aforementioned cashmere option -- yes, really), and they'll both be available at Apple stores...

HTC Flyer touches down at T-Mobile, Scribe pen not included
US Cellular's got one and so does Sprint (albeit under a re-branded banner). So, where's the Magenta-friendly HTC Flyer we saw creep up at the FCC this June? Well, it appears T-Mobile's been offering it for some time to business customers only, but that exclusivity's come to a close. The 7-inch Gingerbread slate with AWS bands is curiously absent from the operator's own online site, but you can still snag it...

Lincoln's small car isn't dead... it never really existed
Filed under: Ford, Lincoln, Detroit Auto Show Here's the problem with releasing a concept: More often than not, people expect you to build it. So when a source tells you that a showcar doesn't have a shot at production, many assume it's been killed. Unless, that is, it was never going to come to market in the first place. Such is the case with the fetching Lincoln Concept C, originally shown at the...

Victory in Valencia: Android tablet maker gets Apple's iPad design lawsuit dismissed in Spain
Apple's taken its war on Android around the world and has won several battles recently, but the latest news from Spain isn't so rosy for Cupertino. Last year, Apple filed suit against Spanish firm NT-K, alleging it was infringing Apple's iPad design-related IP. Shortly thereafter, Apple scored a customs ban on NT-K's tablets, but yesterday a Spanish court decided to dismiss Apple's legal complaint and set NT-K's Gingerbread slates free....

With BBM Music, RIM has thrown their hat into the already crowded mobile music ring. The new service's focus on leveraging your social connections to score some new tunes is a novel twist, but it begs a significant question. Why would RIM release an ostensibly limited music service when you can shell out a few extra dollars a month for unlimited access? At first glance, BBM Music seems like a huge hassle....
