iPhone 4s loves the Nissan Leaf

iPhone 4s loves the Nissan Leaf
Filed under: EV/Plug-in, Nissan, Videos Remember how Nissan was the first big car company to use Apple's iAds in iOS? Looks like the love goes both ways. In the brand new commercial/information video for the just-announced iPhone 4s, Apple shows off the all-electric Nissan Leaf oh-so-briefly. The car isn't doing anything in particular in the ad (except maybe providing an extra-quiet cabin to command Siri, Apple's new voice recognition assistant), but it's not...

Siri: My "Humble" Female Personal Secretary

Siri: My "Humble" Female Personal Secretary
Today, Apple introduced us to the iPhone 4S. It's hard not to feel let down after the iPhone 5 rumor mill was spinning at full force just yesterday (courtesy of the craziest rumor yet), but a couple 4S features were enough to perk up my spirit. One feature in particular, Siri, pretty much blew my mind....

AppleCare+ debuts for $99, offers to cover accidental damage in addition to the standard fare
Once upon a time, the AppleCare Protection Plan was a service provided by Cupertino to extend out the life of your iPhone warranty for an extra year and enable Apple reps to help with additional customer service concerns. It still offers all of that, but now a Plus has been added to the title....

Official iPhone micro-USB adapter quietly sneaks into UK Apple Store
It looks like Apple's making good on its promise to standardize its charger port for EU territories. Behind all the big hitters announced by Apple today, an official micro-USB adapter has shuffled into the UK's online store in a very typically English way. Sure, there have been third-party options for a while, but this one's the real deal and looks set to go on sale on October 14th, alongside the newly...

Where Was Facebook At The Apple Event Today? Not There. Stay Tuned.
One of the things noticeably absent from Apple's iPhone event today was Facebook. After all, other outlets were reporting that they would for sure be a part of the event. Late last week, we reported hearing that could be the case, but that the two sides were still talking and that Facebook had a back-up plan just in case Apple didn't give them the go ahead....

iPhone 4S hands-on!
It's not an iPhone mini or anything, but it's the first iPhone with Siri. And that has to count for something, right? Right? While it's no iPhone 5 (not even close, really), the iPhone 4S is far from being "last year's iPhone," and the greatly enhanced camera, bolstered A5 dual-core processor and inbuilt voice command should provide plenty of reason for folks to upgrade if they're near the end of their...
