Photogram For iOS Is Yet Another Image Sharing App, But One Worth Checking Out
Sometimes, it's all about the experience. Without its finely tuned user experience, Yelp would be just another reviews site. Tivo would be just another DVR. Twitter would just be a fancy status broadcaster. Their user experiences, though — that feeling that things "just work" — keep people coming back. A simple idea grows, the product evolves, and eventually they become the names we all recognize. Photogram isn't a complicated idea....

Senate shoots down proposal to end ethanol subsidies
Filed under: Ethanol, Legislation and Policy, USAEarlier today, the United States Senate rejected an amendment that would have put an end to the $6 billion in tax breaks and subsidies for producers of corn-based ethanol. Introduced by Senator Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma), the amendment was unable to martial the 60 votes needed to end debate in the Senate, failing in a 40-in-favor, 59-against procedural vote as members of both parties joined in opposition...

WPTattleTale.com Points Fingers At Carriers For Weak WP7 Sales
The Windows Phone platform might have a relatively small following now, but there are two things to remember when it comes to WP7 fans: 1) they are just as intense about Windows Phone as Apple fanbois and Android loyalists are over their respective platforms, and 2) the WP7 pack is growing by the minute....

If you remember last year's EX231W (note the lack of "p") then you pretty much know all you need to about the company's latest business-class 23-incher, the EX231Wp. It's got the same 14.6mm bezel, 250-nit brightness, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 1920 x 1080 resolution. It even kept the pair of sensors for measuring ambient light and detecting meatbags sitting in front of it, which allow the screen to adjust its...

Shocker! Gamer behavior is actually quite predictable
Isn't it curious how you always crack open a beer before settling in for some GTA? Or how you tend to put an anxious hand over your wallet when logging onto PSN? No soldier, it is not curious. Not at all. But this is: Researchers at North Carolina State University claim they've found a way to predict your in-game behavior with "up to 80 percent accuracy." After analyzing the decision-making of...

Once upon a time, "cell phones" weighed about a pound and performed only one function: placing calls. No games, no cameras, no texting. Not even a screen. Today, we're so spoiled by LTE coverage, apps, and beautiful touchscreens — and yet, we still manage to find things wrong with them....

Remember that one time when Samsung asked Apple to hand over the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 for legal inspection, just in case the companies' future products crossed the line between similar and strikingly similar yet again? Well, Apple didn't like that very much, and has called the request "copyist." It all started back in April, when Apple saw some bothersome similarities between Apple's iPad 2 and iPhone 4 and certain products...

Filed under: Legislation and Policy, Europe/EU, UK Back in June of 2010, the picturesque city of London recorded its 36th "bad air" day of the year. That was a problem since European Union (EU) guidelines allow just 35 "bad air" days a year, so reaching that unfortunate level by the sixth month of 2010 meant that London was in violation of the law. It's not just London though....
